My Personal Background

If you have read my website, you already know a great deal about me. But read on if you want to know more.

Besides being an astrologer and healer, I'm a mother of two boys, aged 20 and 15. Although I've lived in the San Diego area for 28 years (minus one year in Tucson), I'm originally from Michigan. As you can tell, most of the time I've lived near water. I really love having access to the energy that water gives us.

My book, Born to Be Together, has been on the market since 1998, and I am pleased with how many people are finding it useful. The software version of my book is still in the works. In the meantime, I have had the opportunity to get more of my writing out there, in Llewellyn's Moon Sign Book and Sun Sign Book, as well as Your Birthday Sign Through Time. My next book, Zodiacal Healing, is due out in 2006.

I'm a Virgo with a Capricorn Moon and Pisces rising, but I also have lots of fire and air in my chart. This makes me very practical and stable, yet with a spiritual touch. My life --- and chart --- are all about balancing spiritual and material things.

Recently I've been interested in genealogy, and I've found lots out, with the help of astrology, of course, about my own family and some keys to the deepest unconscious urges that make my family tick. I've been reading The Passionate Economist and The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series.

My oldest son, Uriah, is a Scorpio. Here he is peering into the underground shelter, called a fogou, at Carn Euny in Cornwall, England. It's one of my favorite pictures of him. He's now a junior in the Film Production program at Chapman University. He's currently writing his second screenplay and working on film shoots when he gets the chance. His other interests include psychology, mythology, poetry, and French. He was born in 1984 during the "Jupiter effect" period, when all the planets were within 72 degrees! Since he's a Scorpio, I figured I'd just best get out of his way!

Aryndel, my youngest son, is an Aries. Here's a recent photo, at last! This was taken in spring 2005, when he was 15. He's very much into gardening these days and has revolutionized our yard. You can't go anywhere without him mentioning the plants he's seeing by their scientific name, which he prefers. He's a specialist in native plants. He loves our cats, Leto and Athena, whose updated pictures may be here soon. (Alexander left us last year.) He's still home-schooling, now through Julian Charter High School, where he's acing his classes. He'll take college classes once he's in 11th grade.

This is Athena as a kitten. She's still quite the beauty.
